Dealt with Stuart and Tony - very helpful. My friends mother and step dad bought 2 electric bikes from here and they are very happy with them. Would thoroughly recommend.
I have nothing but praise for Stuart & Electric Bike World. I bought a folding LifeCycle Traveller (online) in August 2015 & have been very happy with the bike + the support I have had since purchase. I am based in London and don't have a car, so can't get down to Southampton for any servicing, but Stuart has been at the end of the phone & always responds promptly to emails for the service needs I've had. For example, I had an crash that stuffed up the motor kill switch houses in the brake levers, but I was able to problem solve this as the cause and then fixed it myself with guidance from Stuart. Another time I needed to change the pedals and he posted me the tool I needed to loan to do this, at his own cost. More recently I needed a replacement front wheel axle lock nut, and again Stuart very generously posted me x2 for free - fantastic post sales support!! All other bits & pieces I have needed doing (general bike servicing of cables etc) have been mechanical so could be done by a normal bike shop. I just needed to show them how to unplug the motor when taking off the back wheel (there is a little arrow showing you where to line up the plug to reconnect it - easy peasy). But good to know that Stuart was always happy to help if it was ever needed it to reassure the bike shop. I've been extremely happy with the LifeCycle Traveller as a bike. Even though it is Chinese made the motor is well sealed & has been fine, no electrical problems at all. The front tektro disc brakes are really good quality (the better quality bikes have a disc brake). Rear brake is a normal pad brake. Ive been able to replace both brake pads myself no problems at all. The brakes are not hydraulic so much easier to maintain. Having an electric bike has changed my commuting life - no more expensive and overcrowded tube, no more tube strikes, it is much faster and I also get fresh air every day. Even cycling in the rain is fun if you have good wet weather gear (jacket, trousers, under helmet cap & shoes) - these are my favourite days riding as there are less cyclists on the road & very exhilirating.

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff members always smiling and extremely kind... definitely we needed a shop like this in the middle of the town. I went for a bike and the super busy manager called Nacho was extremely helpful helping to decide which bike was the most suitable for me and my daughter. I tried it around the park in front of the store and I went into finance meanwhile another staff member offered me a nice latte. Incredible and efficient service at the store. Thank you very much!
Been a customer for 5 months now, absolutely love the staffs for their politeness and helpfulness. Very efficient in bike servicing, good range of accessories in their shop and nicely organised shop layout.

As a total amateur road bike owner who commutes every day I've had my fair share of punctures over the last few years and this morning I turned up on their doorstep 10 minutes before they were due to open, very late for lectures... Manager let me in and replaced it himself - great customer service!
Very good service, experience staff , reasonable prices best bicycle shop in the area

I've worked in bike shop before, and since moved on. I popped into these guys with a problem that I couldn't solve on my bike, seemed unusual. and they sorted it quicker than I ever could! They were polite, explained it all, had it ready to go within the hour - and made me wish I had worked there back when I was in bike sales. Great service, good pricing too
Brilliant shop! I bought a dropper post from them and they installed it for me. Bit of a mistake (completely my fault, not theirs!) in the sizing of the post I had ordered but they sorted out the right one for me incredibly quickly and make sure everything was perfect. Absolutely thrilled with their service and will definitely be returning.

By far the best bike shop in Hampshire. Great knowledge. They go the extra mile to find the right stuff for you rather than sell you whats on the shelf like other shops do. Nice quick turnaround on service work despite being booked up. Will be recommending to everyone.
Fantastic service. Front brake failed on holiday while cycling Solent Way. Found this bike shop on google not too far away. Two hours later new hydraulic brakes all fitted. Great price. Great job and able to continue holiday. Many thanks !
